We specialise in the use of neuromodulation for pain treatment.

Neuromodulation Techniques

Neuromodulation treatments target the brain or nervous system at specific locations in the body, delivering mild electrical stimulation or drugs to relieve pain and/or restore function.

The field of neuromodulation is advancing rapidly and new therapies are emerging every year with recent studies showing unprecedented pain relief achievable in conditions that have previously been difficult to treat.

At QPain we specialise in the use of neuromodulation for pain treatment. Our most frequently used techniques include spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation. These procedures have been found to be particularly effective in treating back pain, sciatica, complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS or RSD), pain persisting after spinal surgery affecting any of the neck, arms, back or legs, regional neuropathic (nerve) pain, and also intractable angina.

Ongoing research and clinical trials are working to further improve the effectiveness of these therapies and develop new stimulation waveforms.

The specialist health team at QPain are involved in many of these clinical trials and positioned to bring the latest technological advancements in pain therapy to patients as they are released.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
